WHAT KIND OF GOD IS KILLED BY HIS CREATION?

What kind of God gets to be killed by his own creation? That defies logic and would be humiliating, disgraceful and ungodly.

All gods easily lay claim to be “Mighty”, “Most Gracious”, “All Knowing” and “Ever Merciful” until they are challenged to demonstrate these attributes in a practical way whereby they have to give up their divine privilege and take the form of a servant [Philippians 2:7] in the interest, not of themselves, but of their creation.

So why did this God not follow the script of other gods by making himself a “God-Man” of no reputation and a curse? You say its disgraceful, but what if this brought about GRACE and MERCY and was a practical demonstration of a GRACIOUS and MERCIFUL God rather than an empty and unproven claim of being “MOST GRACIOUS” and “EVER MERCIFUL”? In the history of the world, only one God has made a practical demonstration of GRACE and MERCY.

John said :”For the LAW was given by Moses, but GRACE and truth came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17

If this God had put up a fight but was overpowered by his creation, then he would be a worthless God—a pretender!
Except in this case, Jesus did not resist the crucifixion because God had crafted this event from the foundation of the world [Revelations 13:8]

What if what you perceive to be WEAKNESS, is MIGHT? Which god, hidden behind a veil, would have the MIGHT to come down from his comfort zone and put himself through half the humiliation Jesus put himself through, if it was beneficial for the salvation of his creation? Would your god really put his self interest aside to demonstrate his LOVE for YOU? Doesn’t this begin to broaden your understanding of the title “All Mighty” beyond just the claim of it?

What if God so LOVED his creation so much that he gave his only begotten (meaning unique) Son as a willing sin offering for the salvation of his creation and for the inheritance of eternal life? You say: but why can’t God just forgive? Under the law of Moses, there was no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood.

Was Jesus overpowered by his creation or did he offer himself as a willing sacrifice? Jesus was never trapped, caught by surprise or a victim. He went to the cross of His own will because He came for this purpose.

Jesus knew the exact details of his crucifixion before it even happened. He told his disciples that “he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Matthew 16:21

Before the crucifixion, Jesus had demonstrated that he could save himself from crowds wanting to kill him such as when they took him to a cliff so they could throw him down. He disappeared from them, because his time had not come. When Jesus had been arrested, he told Peter to put away his sword because if he (Jesus) wanted, he could have 12 legions (72 000) of angels to take him away [Mathew 26:53] but because the scriptures had to be fulfilled, he would give himself over to the Romans. But which scriptures had to be fulfilled?

In the Jewish Tanakh (Old Testament) written long before the New Testament or Rome or Nicea, the Messiah is the SUFFERING servant—the ‘arm of the Lord’—who was ‘smitten of God’, ‘crushed’, ‘wounded’, ‘led as a lamb to the slaughter’ ‘and the LORD hath made to light on him the iniquity of us all’, ‘he was CUT OFF out of the land of the LIVING, for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due’ ‘Yet it pleased the LORD to BRUISE him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an OFFERING FOR SIN’ (RESITUTION) and ‘bared his soul unto DEATH and bore the SINS OF MANY’ [Isaiah 53 Tanakh Jewish Bible].

Because of our transgressions (sins) the stroke (punishment) was due to us but Jesus took the stroke on our behalf.
In Jesus’s own words:” Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”John 15:13‭-‬14

Was Jesus’s crucifixion a sign of weakness?
Jesus said—referring to his crucifixion— that the DEVIL would be DEFEATED.
“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (the devil) be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all men unto me.”
John 12:31‭-‬32. This is a declaration of victory and MIGHT by the Son of God who is undefeatable.

Does the Qur’an despise the cross? SATAN hates the POWER of the cross because it is the POWER of salvation. When Jesus informed his disciples in advance that he would go to Jerusalem and SUFFER, be crucified and resurrected on the third day, Peter couldn’t accept that his Lord would be crucified and therefore tried to discourage Jesus from going through with it [Mathew 16:20-21]:

‘But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, SATAN! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”Matthew 16:23

While the law is holy and good, however, because we are human [Romans 7:12]; it causes us to sin when we transgress/break it. The law therefore curses us.

“Christ redeemed us from the CURSE OF THE LAW, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed be every one who hangs on a tree”
Galatians 3:13

“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very POWER of God.”
1 Corinthians 1:18
