Is there anything which supports the claim that Jibreel of the Qur’an was really the angel Gabriel of the Bible or was he an imposter?
I would like to propose to beloved Muslims that the true Angel Gabriel of the Old Testament and the Gospel never appeared to Muhammad. The opening, but minor reason why, is because Muhammad himself never declared it was the Angel Gabriel and neither did the angel introduce itself as the Angel Gabriel…Only when his wife (Khadijah) and her cousin ibn Neafal told him so was when Muhammad went along with it. How were they able to tell between divine and demonic? Muhammads own testiment thought it was demonic.

The major reason why Jibreel is an imposter of the Angel Gabriel is that the
apostles had warned, 600 years before Muhammad’s encounter with the angel in the cave, about an “angel from heaven” who would bring a message or “gospel” different from the one Jesus or the disciples had preached.
The angelic creature which visited Muhammad falsely claimed, SIX HUNDRED YEARS after the fact, that Jesus was not crucified [even though Mary the Mother of Jesus and John his disciple SPOKE to Jesus while he was on the cross (John 19:25-27) and the prophets of old spoke of the one who would die for the sins of many Isaiah 53, Psalms 22 and Zechariah 12:10)].
The Quran also denies that Jesus is the Son of God. The Law of Moses (Torah) and the prophets of old (Genesis 49:10, 1 Chronicles 17:11-15, Daniel 7:13-14, Isaiah 9:6) say he IS. They prophesy of the ONE who will come from the tribe of Judah and from among the sons of David. He would be given a throne, glory, sovereign power, would reign in his everlasting kingdom FOREVER, and the “obedience of the nations shall be his.”
The angel Gabriel appears to Mary in the Gospels and fulfils the unchanged message which the prophets of old through the ages and through an unbroken chain of narration had been prophesying:
“You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his KINGDOM will NEVER END.”
Luke 1:31-33
But Jibreel, the imposter of the Angel Gabriel of the Bible, delivered verses opposing and perverting the message of the Angel Gabriel of the Bible and the prophecies of the prophets of old.
“… Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”
Galatians 1:6-9
6 centuries before the mysterious ANGEL and the SERVANT of Allah, Muhammad, met, the apostles had written a letter to Christians at Corinth, WARNING:
‘And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an ANGEL of LIGHT. So it is no surprise if his SERVANTS, also, disguise themselves as SERVANTS of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15
It is no surprise therefore that Muhammad and Joseph Smith of the cultic Mormon church (both whom claim to have been visited by an angel from heaven) are considered by their followers as SERVANTS of RIGHTEOUSNESS who are a moral examples to mankind and teaches a strict moral code of RIGHTEOUS DEEDS. For example, the 5 pillars of Islam have a form of godliness but in reality they are idolatrous and an abomination because Allah of the Qur’an CLAIMS to be (QS 29:46) but is not the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
SO WHAT IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST? A book? No. It’s a message about the good news of the kingdom of God. What is the good news?
