Do Arab Christians who worship “Allah” and Arameic Christian who call him “Alaha” worship the same god Allah of the Qur’an? NO. Most beloved Muslims genuinely believe this to be true but you will easily see why this often repeated claim by Muslims is not only false but also very offensive to Arab and Arameic Christians who believe in the true God who became flesh (Isaiah 40:3-5, Malachi 3:1 John 1:1,14) and died for the sins of mankind (Isaiah 53).
While “Allah” is the name used by Muslims for their god (al-ilah), the confusion arises for some Muslims when they hear Arabic speaking people from other religions say that they worship Allah. This is because the name ‘Allah’ also happens to be GENERIC NAME or common noun used to refer to different gods for Arab people just as “school” is a common noun used to refer to different schools. This is the case for the Christians living in Arabic lands, but the IDENTITY of their God is different to the Kaaba one. To give an extreme example, an Arab who worships Satan as his god will still call Satan ‘Allah’.
The pre-Islamic crescent moon and star god ☪️ of the Kaaba, Hubal—He who is Baal (a mutation of Satan)—was called ‘al-ilah’ (the god). ‘Allah’ of the Kaaba is a shortening of ‘al-ilah’ (the god). In fact, Hubal was worshipped by Muhammad’s grandfather (Abdu’l-Muttalib) and father (Abdullah) as ‘Allah’ of the Kaaba and Muhammad’s grandfather dedicated Muhammad to Hubal at the centre of the Kaaba. So by using the same logic (appeal to common nouns) then the Islamic Allah has a much more stronger case to be Hubal than to be the true God of Israel (whom Allah falsely claims to be in QS 29:46) since Allah and Hubal both share, not just the same NAME (ALLAH), but more specifically the same SHRINE 🕋 and SYMBOLS ☪️ too. This is a fact.
Speaking of names, Arab and Aramaic Christians worship the true God of the Torah and Gospel whose special, eternal and covenant name (which he revealed through Moses to mankind to be remembered by for generations) is “the God of Abraham, Isaac and the God of Jacob” (Exodus 3:15).
Is the covenant name of the true God of Israel any one of the 99 names of the 7th century god, Allah? NO. Fact.
The foolishness of appealing to a COMMON NOUN as a claim for SIMILAR IDENTITY is further exposed through the example of the use of the common/generic Hebrew noun ‘El‘ (meaning “The God”) by the Israelites to refer to the true God of Israel AND by the Canaanites of that period who referred to their false god as “El” yet these two groups were worshipping two totally different gods but sharing the same common noun.
A Muslim claiming that Allah of the Kaaba is Allah of the Arab Christians is as false, embarrassing and deceptive as a Canaanite claiming that his false god “El” is the God “El” of the Israelites just because they share the same Hebrew common noun!

In the same way, Jesus would have used the Arameic “Alaha” which shares a similar linguistic root to the Arabic “Allah” but it ALSO does apply to the Hebrew “Elohim”.
Jesus prayed “Abba, Father”. There is no word like ‘Allah-Abba’ or ‘Allah-father'” in Islam. Jesus was praying to the true God of the Torah and Gospel who spiritually is our FATHER (Deuteronomy 32:6, Isaiah 63:16, 64:8, Jeremiah 31:9)
Remember, Allah of the Qur’an, in no way, shape or form (spiritually, literally or metaphorically) is he FATHER to anyone (QS 6:100).
When Arabic-speaking Christians use the word Allah, it is usually used in combination with the word al-Ab. Allah al-Ab means “God the Father,” and this usage is one way Arab Christians differentiate themselves from Muslims and their moon and star god of the idolatrous Black Stone and Kaaba.
Therefore Allah of the Qur’an is NOT the Allah of the Arab Christians or Alaha of Arameic Christians although they use the same common noun as Allah of the Qur’an. However, Allah of the Arab Christians IS Alaha of the Arameic Christians because they share the same IDENTITY.
Allah of the Kaaba is still the same Hubal of the Kaaba. Allah of the Kaaba is the GREATEST THEFT OF THE IDENTITY of the God of Israel AND his prophets in the history of mankind!
