While Isa of the Qur’an is a 7th century false invention not supported whatsoever by the prophecies of the Messiah from the Torah and the Prophets, you will be surprised to learn that there is a PROGRESSIVE REVELATION of Jesus Christ as the SON OF GOD, not just in the New Testament but in the Law of Moses (Torah) and the Prophets!
Progressive revelation is the doctrine that the sections of the Bible that were written later contain a fuller revelation of God than the earlier sections. Progressive revelation does not mean to say that the Old Testament is somehow less true than the New Testament. The progress was not from untruth to truth—it was from less information to more full information.
What was revealed to the Prophets like Isaiah was more elaborate than what was revealed to earlier prophets like Moses. This is true of the PROGRESSIVE REVELATION of the Son of God/son of man—JESUS CHRIST.
[Jesus is not God’s Begotten Son in the sense of a human father and a son. God did not get married and have a son. God did not mate with Mary and, together with her, produce a son. The Son exists in ETERNITY (Micah 5:2) as SPIRIT, not man. Jesus is God’s Son in the sense that He is God COME IN THE FLESH (Isaiah 40:3-5, Malachi 3 :1 and John 1:1, 14). “Only Begotten” in the Greek is “monogenes” which means “unique” or “of a special kind”. The Father and the Son are God in ESSENCE and are one because God is ONE. In Deuteronomy 6:4 the Hebrew word that is used in “the Lord your God is ONE” is “ECHAD” which means a UNITY or COMPOUND]
The revelation about Jesus which God gave to Moses was that there would come Shiloh/”he to whom it belongs”/”the peaceful one” (Genesis 49:10) and “the OBEDIENCE OF THE NATIONS shall be his.” He will be a ruler/king from the TRIBE of JUDAH.
By the time of David, (1 Chronicles 17:11-15) God tells the prophet Nathan to tell David that there will come ONE from among David’s sons (a descendent of David). He will be David’s son but God says “I will be his father and he will be my son” (David is from the TRIBE OF JUDAH). The son of God will rule/have a THRONE in God’s kingdom and his kingdom will be FOREVER.
In Isaiah’s time (Isaiah 9:6) the revelation is that “a child is born and a son is given” and that the government (rulership of nations) will be upon his shoulders. “Of the GREATNESS of his government and PEACE there will be no end. He will REIGN ON DAVID’S THRONE and over his His kingdom from that time on and FOREVER.”
This son will be called “prince of PEACE” and “Mighty God”. So God would take on the form of flesh.
Later in the book of Isaiah (40:3-5), God says a way must be prepared for him for He is coming. God’s GLORY would be REVEALED and all people shall SEE it. (“The Son is the radiance of God’s GLORY and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word” Hebrews 1:3)
“No one has SEEN God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has REVEALED Him.
(John 1:18).
In the book of Daniel, Daniel sees in a vision of the throne of heaven the ‘the son of man’ (the Son) coming before “the Ancient of days” (the Father).
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, GLORY and sovereign power; ALL NATIONS and peoples of every language served him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will NOT PASS AWAY, and his KINGDOM is one that will NEVER BE DESTROYED .”(Daniel 7:13-14).
By the time the angel Gabriel delivers this following message to Mary, the message has been passed on repeatedly over thousands of years:
“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be GREAT, and will be called the Son of the HIGHEST (Son of God); and the Lord God will give Him the THRONE of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob FOREVER, and of His kingdom THERE WILL BE NO END.” (Luke 1:31-33).
When the mysterious angel (named as “Jibreel” by the Ebonite and Christian heretic, Waraqah Ibin Nawfal), appears to Muhammad in a cave and informs him that God has no son (QS 6:100), we know that this was a false angel and that Islam is antichrist:
“Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.(1 John 2:22-23).
“This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ HAS COME IN THE FLESH is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.” (1 John 4:2-3)
