If God does NOT DIE and Jesus is GOD, how come God DIED on the CROSS? People will surely perish because of lack of knowledge!
Jesus stated:
“God is SPIRIT, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
(John 4:24).
Jesus is a miraculous union (Hypostatic union) of the SPIRIT and FLESH. Jesus was 100% MAN and 100% GOD . It is the FLESH that died, not the SPIRIT.
The coming of God in the FLESH is not just a New Testament teaching the way but was revealed by the PROPHETS of old. Muslims will have to account for why they are disobedient to the Qur’an which as late as the 7th century was instructing Muslims to believe in the revelation of the PROPHETS (QS 2:136 and 4:163). Well, we have thousands of copies of the revelations of prophets like Isaiah from BEFORE the 7th century which are identical to the Scriptures we have today regardless of the translation, version or update of the Bible. We also have the Dead Sea scrolls which confirm the accuracy and preservation of the books of the prophets like Isaiah.
Did God become FLESH?
In a stunning prophecy through the prophet Isaiah (40:3-5 and Malachi 3:1), God prophesies that the “voice of one crying in the wilderness” (John the Baptist) will “prepare a way for “the Lord” “for our God” “for ME” (Malachi 3:1) for He is coming to the earth “and the GLORY of the LORD will be REVEALED, and all people/flesh will SEE it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:5).
‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. The Word BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only SON, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1, 14).
“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to DEATH IN THE FLESH but MADE ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT; in which he went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water.” (1 Pet 3:18-20)
It is the FLESH that died, not the SPIRIT. If the SPIRIT died, then how did the spirit preach to imprisoned spirits?
What does the Qur’an say about death?
2:154. And do not count as dead those who are killed in the cause of Allâh. Rather (they are) living, only you perceive not (their life).
Jesus is ALIVE but Muhammad is DEAD. Jesus resurrected and lives in eternity. We know that his resurrection is evidence of his POWER OVER DEATH and assurance that we ourselves will be resurrected by him:
“Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.’
(John 5:25-29)
