It might interest Muslims to know that the last of the prophets was actually John the Baptist, not Muhammad, despite this claim from the Qur’an:
QS 5:19. O people of the Scripture! There has already come to you Our Messenger who makes things clear to you after a break in the series of Messengers lest you should say, ‘There has not come to us any Bearer of good tidings, nor a Warner.’ Now there has, indeed, come to you a Bearer of good tidings and a Warner. And Allâh is the Possessor of full power to do all that He will. “
But what do the previous scriptures ACTUALLY say? Jesus Christ said:
“For all the prophets and the law prophesied UNTIL John (Matthew 11:13).
John the Baptist is the messenger spoken of in the book of Isaiah who would prepare the way of God. God would be coming to the world in the form of flesh (as a man)—as Jesus.
“Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: “ ‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ (Matthew 11:9-10)
Because John came to prepare the way of the Lord—of God, Jesus says of John the Baptist:
“Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Matthew 11:11).
The period of the the law (Old Covenant) and the prophets therefore ended with John the Baptist. John was the last prophets. He came to” prepare the way of the Lord” and prophesied of the coming of the Lord—Jesus—who would “baptize with fire and the Holy Spirit”. This dismisses also the claim that Muhammad is the last of the prophets or that he is even a prophet of the true God whose special, eternal and covenant name (which he revealed to mankind through Moses in the Torah) is given as follows: ‘God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ “This is MY NAME FOREVER, the name you shall call me from GENERATION to GENERATION.” (Exodus 3:15).
Is this covenant name any one of the 99 names of the 7th century god, Allah? In which verse of the Qur’an or hadith can you find the eternal and covenant name of God?
This should be evidence and a warning to beloved Muslims that Allah is an imitation of the true God and he has no written historical records or oral tradition before 610, except as the pagan god, Hubal (“He who is Baal”) worshipped at the centre of pagan worship in Mecca. Hubal was the Allah of the Kaaba.
Yes there was never any need for Muhammad or any other prophet:
‘In the PAST God spoke to our ancestors through the PROPHETS at many times and in various ways, but in these LAST DAYS he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe (Hebrews 1:1-2).
This parable, given by Jesus Christ, refers to God sending the prophets and lastly his Son:
“Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. Then LAST OF ALL he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?”
Matthew 21:33-40
The parable shows that Jesus is the Son and was the last to be sent by the Father.
Don’t let the Muslim scholars deceive you with their ridiculous claims about Deuteronomy 18:15, Songs of Solomon 5, Isaiah 29, Isaiah 42, John 14 and 16 or any other verse from scripture: they don’t refer to Muhammad!
Muhammad is a false prophet spoken of by Jesus:
“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24
Muhammad is indeed a prophet and messenger only to his false 7th century god of the idolatrous Kaaba and Hajr e aswad, both of which are an ABOMINATION to the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
