MUHAMMED NOT THE PROPHET LIKE MOSES! Seven reasons why.

Muhammed is not prophesied in Deuteronomy 18 or ANYWHERE in scripture despite claims by the Qur’an (QS 61:6, QS 7:157) for Muslims to find Muhammad written in the Torah and Gospel.

“The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,
(Deuteronomy 18:15 )

1. Let us assume that the prophet like Moses is Muhammad. Then he must know God “face to face” (Exodus 33:11,Numbers 12:8) and performs “sign and wonders”.

“But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, in all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.” (Deuteronomy 34:10‭-‬12)

But it according to the account of the Qur’an, Muhammad got revelations and everything from an “angel” called “Jibreel” (If indeed Muhammad saw an angel, this angel which contradicts BOTH the teachings of the Torah and Gospel was Satan himself disguised as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14-15.). It was not the angel Gabriel from the Bible. Muhammad never saw his god face to face and he never did any miracles. He was just a ‘warner’.(Qur’an 6:37,10:20; 13:7; 13:27; 17;59; 29 :50-51). So he is not a prophet LIKE MOSES.

Did Muhammad speak to God face to face? No.
Jesus Christ has done so. He says, in John 6:46, “Not that anyone has SEEN the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father”. In this single sentence, Jesus Christ establishes that He, like Moses, has seen the Father.

2. “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,
(Deuteronomy 18:15)
The term “brethren” refers to Israel, not to their Arabian neighbors. Why would God raise up for Israel a prophet from their enemies? Also, Muhammed is not descendent from Ishmael as debunked by top Islamic scholar (see video at the end).

3. In this very context, the term “brethren” means fellow Israelites because the Levites were told “they shall have no inheritance among their brethren” (Deuteronomy 18:2).

Since then, no prophet has risen IN ISRAEL like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
Deuteronomy 34:10

4. Elsewhere in this book the term “brethren” also means fellow Israelites, not a foreigner. God told them to choose a king “from among your brethren,” not a “foreigner.” Israel has never chosen a non-Jewish king.

5. Muslims have been deceived for centuries by their scholars to believe that Muhammed is descendent from Ishmael. Even if it were true that Muhammed is descendent from Ishmael, the heirs to the Jewish throne came from Isaac. When Abraham prayed, “Oh that Ishmael might live before You!” God answered emphatically: “My covenant I will establish with Isaac …” (Gen. 17:21). Later God repeated: “In Isaac your seed shall be called” (Genesis 21:12).

6. The Qur’an itself states that the prophetic line came through Isaac, not Ishmael: “And We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and We established the Prophethood and the Scripture among his seed” (Surah 29:27).

7. “But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'”
(Deuteronomy 18:20 Tanakh Bible)

God’s prophet would not recite satanic verses.
Muhammad wouldn’t qualify as a prophet of God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for this reason: he recited satanic verses which were later abrogated:
[Surah 53:19–20:
“So have you considered al-Lat and al-‘Uzza?
And Manat, the third [goddess]—the other one?”
Al-Lat, al-‘Uzza, and Manat were three pagan Arab deities.
the devil interjected his own words onto Muhammad’s tongue, and the result was Surah 53:21–22
“These are the exalted cranes [intermediaries]
Whose intercession is to be hoped for!”
