Did Jesus Christ’s teachings ever inspire colonialism, the crusades and imperialism? Any institution that conducted itself contrary to the values which Jesus Christ taught was not acting on behalf of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ never taught to kill but to love your enemies and to pray for and bless those who persecute you (Mathew 5:43-45). Is this not the most revolutionary statement in the history of mankind? There is not a single colonialist or imperialist who was commanded by Jesus Christ to colonize and subjugate other nations! They will receive their just reward.

Out of no fault of their own, Muslims mistake the “Christianity of the land” for the “Christianity of Christ” because of the conduct of bad actors.

Christ taught not to convert by the SWORD. His teachings are the opposite of the Crusades sponsored by the Roman Catholic Church and colonialism and imperialism fought in the name of Greed, not God.

Christ will bring them and every unjust ruler into judgement, for he warned against those who would come killing in the name of God (of which MUHAMMAD is among them).

Muhammad certainly hated his enemies and killed them with the sword in defense of his god, Allah, something Jesus warned against. Jesus said:
“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” (John 16:2)

Muhammad violated what Jesus taught by following the Qur’anic (QS 9:29) instruction to:
“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day… until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued?

While Jesus CONQUERED with LOVE, Muhammad CONQUERED with TERROR:
Muhammad is reported to have said: 328. It is related that Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah said, “The Prophet said, ‘I have been given five things which no one before me was given: I have been helped to victory by terror flooding (my enemies’) hearts up to a month’s journey away…”
