Did God  come in the flesh and did God die?
God is spirit, which obviously explains, for example, why God can be everywhere at the same time, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus said:
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.\u201d
John 4:24<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People will perish because of lack of knowledge! God is spirit. The Son is Spirit. He did not come into existence through Mary but merely took the form of a man through Mary. He has always existed in eternity as the Son (John 3:16) [before Mary, John the Baptist and before Abraham (Micah 5:2, John 1:15, John 8:56-58]. In fact, everything that was created was created THROUGH the Son (John 1 :10), who is the Word; the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1-3). YOU were created through the Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We usually speak of Jesus as a man but we forget that he is eternal and is spirit and only came briefly in his eternity in the form of a man to fulfill a specific purpose. He is worshiped therefore not as a man, but as spirit\u2014as God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when Jesus the “God-man” died, it was the man\u2014his body\u2014 that died. The man had become joined to his divine nature. It was the flesh that died, not the spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jewish Old Testament scriptures, long before the Greek, Romans or Nicea foretold that God himself would come to men and would be “seen by all flesh”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: \u201cPrepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.\u201d
Isaiah 40:3\u202d-5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From this verse\u2014without a shadow of doubt\u2014God himself was coming to the earth and would be SEEN in a human body (flesh) by all flesh (men). But who was to prepare the way for ‘the Lord’\/’our God’?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall clear the way before Me; and the Lord, whom ye seek, will SUDDENLY come to His temple, and the messenger of the COVENANT, whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Tanakh Jewish Bible  Micah 3:1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the above verse, God is speaking, and He says that the messenger (John the Baptist) would prepare the way \u201cbefore Me.\u201d SUDDENLY? Yes. Jesus (or his ministry) came IMMEDIATELY after John and not centuries later. It is the LORD God Himself who was coming! Then, God says it is \u201cthe Lord\u201d who will come, \u201cthe messenger of the covenant.\u201d So, God is EQUATED with the Lord who was to come. It is one of many occasions where Jesus is called \u201cGod\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So God became flesh through being born of a virgin (symbolizing purity).
So it is this body which died, not the spirit of God. The spirit of God was and is alive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to DEATH IN THE FLESH but made ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God\u2019s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.
1 Peter 3:18\u202d-\u202c20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Son TEMPORARILY took on the form of a man for a specific purpose.
“But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.”
Hebrews 2:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death\u2014that is, the devil\u2014 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”
Hebrews 2:14\u202d-\u202c15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
